Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, reportedly plans to remain in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.
Sources claim Ragland is not ready to leave behind the life she has built in California. She has strong ties to the area, including a close circle of friends and a local yoga community.
Ragland has remained closely involved in the Sussexes’ lives while they have been based in Montecito. She visited the family regularly and reportedly had private quarters at their spacious home.
Despite her decision to stay in Los Angeles, she is expected to remain an important presence in Meghan, Harry and their children’s lives.
