Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly hoping to spend more time in Britain and strengthen their relationship with King Charles during future visits to the UK.
Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told GB News that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex appear eager to return more often and see more of the King.
“Their plan is undoubtedly to see more of Britain, to come over more often and see more of the King,” he said.
Fitzwilliams also addressed reports that Harry and Meghan want Charles to attend the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham. However, he cautioned that turning those hopes into reality may not be straightforward.
“The plan is one thing, the execution is another,” he added.
Last month, Charles and Queen Camilla reportedly met Harry, Meghan and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, at the Highgrove estate in western England. The reported reunion marked the King’s first meeting with his grandchildren since 2022.
Harry has made only occasional trips to Britain since stepping back from royal duties and moving to the United States with Meghan and their children. His relationship with Charles and Prince William has remained strained following the couple’s highly publicized departure from royal life.
Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment, has had limited opportunities to spend time with Archie and Lilibet.
Harry previously expressed a desire to reconcile with his family, saying he did not know “how much longer my father has.”
