Prince William is reportedly focusing on his family and royal duties rather than becoming caught up in the ongoing tensions surrounding Prince Harry.
The Prince of Wales, who is first in line to the British throne, appears determined to move forward without allowing his strained relationship with his younger brother to distract him.
Royal expert Jennie Bond told the Mirror that William seems intent on concentrating on his own life and responsibilities.
“William, as far as we can see, seems set on concentrating on his own family and his work without the angst of dealing with his rift with Harry,” she said.
However, Bond suggested that the situation could become more difficult to avoid if Harry begins making more frequent visits to Britain, particularly to spend time with King Charles.
“But, if Harry does start to come to the UK more often and to see their father, it’s going to become increasingly hard for William to ignore the situation,” she explained.
The royal commentator also addressed the possibility of Kate Middleton helping to repair the brothers’ relationship. While the Princess of Wales could potentially act as a peacemaker, Bond believed she would only step in with William’s approval.
“Could Catherine perhaps act as peacemaker? Well, maybe. But only if she is satisfied that it is something William wants,” she said.
“At this stage, there is absolutely no indication that this is the case. However, circumstances and feelings can change with time and so, as I always say, ‘never say never.’”
