Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly staying at a property owned by a friend while they search for a permanent home in Britain.
Royal expert Alison Boshoff, writing for the Mail on Sunday, cited a friend of Harry who said the couple’s temporary arrangement could last longer than expected.
“They are staying in a property on the estate of a friend,” the source claimed.
According to the friend, Harry believes it will be difficult to find a suitable home that is ready for the family to move into immediately.
“He thinks it may be 12 to 18 months before they’re into a new place,” the source said, adding that the wait could be even longer.
The couple are reportedly looking for a property with a large amount of land. Homes that meet their needs rarely become available, so they are prepared for a lengthy search.
Harry and Meghan recently returned to Britain with their family, six years after stepping down as working members of the Royal Family and moving to the United States. They remain non-working royals.
