King Charles has reportedly changed the way he communicates with Prince Harry following a tense private phone call.
According to Woman’s Day, new tensions developed after the King sent a letter about Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal status.
An unnamed source said Charles and Harry have not met in person since the Duke returned to Britain last month. However, they had reportedly been speaking privately by phone.
Their polite conversations are said to have become tense after the King’s letter was made public. The letter confirmed that Harry and Meghan remain non-working members of the Royal Family.
The source claimed that Charles and Harry were initially speaking directly. Their communication now reportedly goes through one of the King’s advisers after their latest call became heated.
Before the disagreement, the father and son were told to have spoken once a week. Their conversations mainly focused on Harry’s children, their schooling and plans for Charles to see them.
However, the King has reportedly decided not to speak directly with Harry until the situation becomes calm.
These claims emerged days after the letter, approved by Charles, was sent to senior British officials.
A spokesperson for Harry and Meghan said the couple were told about the letter only shortly before it was sent. They were surprised by what happened.
