Princess Diana’s brother, Charles Spencer, shared his excitement after receiving the first printed copy of his new book, Swan Song.
Posting photos of the book on social media, the uncle of Prince William and Prince Harry described the moment as special for any author. He said it meant even more to him because Swan Song is his most personal book yet.
“At the end of the day, it’s a brother’s tribute to an extraordinary sister,” Spencer wrote.
In an Instagram post, he explained that this is the tenth book he has written over the past 30 years.
Spencer also revealed that he recently spent three days recording the audiobook version. After finishing, he felt that the book said everything he had wanted and needed to express. He added that he believed Diana would have approved of every word.
His update comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly face renewed tensions with the Royal Family following their return to Britain.
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex previously said the couple were surprised by a letter sent on behalf of King Charles. The letter reportedly clarified that Harry and Meghan remain non-working members of the Royal Family.
