King Charles’ demanding work schedule has reportedly caused concern among those close to him as he continues cancer treatment.
According to RadarOnline.com, the King often works late into the night instead of getting more rest. His cancer diagnosis was announced in February 2024, but the type of cancer has not been publicly revealed.
A palace insider said Charles has always been deeply committed to his duties and receives a large amount of documents each day.
“He doesn’t naturally switch off simply because the working day is technically over,” the source said.
People around the King would reportedly prefer him to put away his official red boxes and get more sleep. However, Charles often feels that important matters need his attention before the day ends.
Queen Camilla has also spoken about her husband’s late-night work habits. During a Commonwealth event in Samoa, she said Charles often works into the early hours while she is already asleep.
A second royal source said the King followed the same routine when he was Prince of Wales.
“Charles has never been somebody who simply signs off on something without wanting to understand the details behind it,” the source explained.
Even before becoming King, Charles was known for reading large amounts of paperwork, asking questions and staying closely involved with the charities and organizations he supported.
According to the source, that same level of commitment has continued since he became King.
