King Charles would reportedly be pleased to spend more time with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet if Prince Harry and Meghan Markle return to the UK.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold said the King would be excited to have his grandchildren living closer to him.
“Like any grandparent, the King will be very excited to have Archie and Lilibet close again,” Harrold told the Daily Express on behalf of Press Box PR.
He described Charles as a caring man who places great importance on family. Harrold believes the King would want to take an active role in his grandchildren’s lives and prevent them from growing up with unanswered questions about their relatives.
Prince Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working royals in 2020 and moved to California with Archie. They later welcomed their daughter, Lilibet, in the United States.
The couple have spoken publicly about their difficult relationship with the Royal Family, including allegations about concerns over Archie’s skin colour. Despite these tensions, Harrold believes having the Sussex family closer would be important to the King.
