The reason for Prince Harry’s return to the UK may be linked to his late mother, Princess Diana.
Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly returned to Britain for a longer stay. The visit comes almost six years after they moved to California in 2020.
Royal commentator Richard Kay told the Daily Mail that Harry may be working on a television film about Diana ahead of the 30th anniversary of her death.
“I am told that one of the reasons Harry’s here is to make a television film, his own film, about his mother,” Kay said.
He also claimed that Harry contacted friends and other people who knew Diana. Harry has reportedly asked them to take part in the film.
Kay said the project could take up much of Harry’s time during the next 12 months.
Darren McGrady, a former chef for Queen Elizabeth II, appeared to support the report in an Instagram post.
“Oh, I did wonder if that’s why the film crew were there when I visited Althorp earlier this week,” he wrote.
Althorp is the Spencer family estate where Diana grew up and was later laid to rest.
Princess Diana died in August 1997. Harry was 12 years old at the time. She is still remembered for her charity and humanitarian work. The 30th anniversary of her death will be in 2027.
Prince Harry has not officially confirmed that he is making the film.
