Prince Harry has been urged to avoid discussing family disagreements in public if he wants to rebuild his relationships with King Charles and Prince William.
Speaking to Newsweek, public relations expert Eric Schiffer said Harry’s public comments could work against his efforts to make peace with his family.
Schiffer argued that Harry needs to decide whether to focus on repairing those relationships or defending his public image. He also advised Harry to stop commenting publicly on family matters.
His remarks came after Harry spoke to GQ about difficult family relationships.
The Duke of Sussex said many people experience disagreements with siblings or strained relationships with their parents.
He added: “And some people don’t want it to work out – I want it to work out.”
Harry’s spokesperson later clarified that the comment was not aimed at Prince William or any other family member.
The spokesperson said Harry was speaking generally about family problems and had not intended to criticise his own relatives.
