Prince Harry wants to honour veterans on Remembrance Sunday without drawing attention away from the royal family.
The Duke of Sussex, who reportedly moved back to the UK after six years in California, plans to mark the day in a personal way.
A friend told Hello! magazine that Harry would not do anything to take attention away from the royal family or the national ceremony at the Cenotaph in London.
Instead, he is likely to attend a church service or a ceremony at a local war memorial, as many veterans do.
His friend said Remembrance Sunday means a great deal to Harry. It is a time to honour those who served, remember those who died and support fellow veterans.
“He has no desire to create drama or do anything that could distract from his family's role in the national commemorations,” the friend added.
