A source told Heat World that Eugenie, who was once close to Prince Harry and Meghan, is trying to balance their friendship with her relationship with the royal family.
The source said keeping the friendship private can be difficult because of public attention and Meghan’s social media posts.
“Eugenie does really care about Meghan and she wants to be supportive, but she also has to think of her own standing,” the source claimed.
The insider suggested that issues involving Eugenie’s parents, Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, have made her position more difficult. They said she feels she needs to protect her ties with the royal family.
According to the source, Eugenie is “pretty anxious” about upsetting King Charles and Prince William. She may also worry that appearing publicly with Harry and Meghan would be seen as taking their side in the family dispute.
