Royal expert Chris Ship has said Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s decision to challenge police search warrants could cause more frustration at Buckingham Palace.
Writing on X, Ship shared an ITV report about Andrew’s legal action against Thames Valley Police. He said the news would leave palace officials with their “heads in hands” again.
According to AFP, Andrew filed a legal challenge on Monday asking the court to cancel warrants that allowed police to search his former and current homes on royal estates.
Police arrested Andrew on February 19 on suspicion of misconduct linked to his ties to Jeffrey Epstein.
The judiciary’s press office said Andrew is asking the court to review the legality of search warrants issued by a judge at the Central Criminal Court on February 18, 2026.
A private hearing is scheduled for Thursday at a London court. That hearing will consider a request from Thames Valley Police to limit access to documents in the case.
