Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s relationship with the Royal Family remains difficult, according to royal commentator Andrea Caamano.
Speaking to Page Six, Caamano said she does not expect the palace to become involved in matters concerning Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle.
“Despite Harry and Meghan’s return to the UK, relations remain complicated,” she said. “I don’t anticipate the Royal Family becoming involved in this situation.”
Caamano believes King Charles, Prince William and Princess Catherine will continue to focus on their royal duties. She said a public response from them is unlikely.
Meanwhile, an unnamed source speaking to royal commentator Rob Shuter claimed that Harry and Meghan could look elsewhere if efforts to improve their image in Britain do not succeed.
“Give it six months. If things don’t turn around, they will decide Britain is no longer worth the effort and head elsewhere,” the source claimed.
The source said the couple had hoped their return would help them regain public support, but rebuilding trust would take time.
“You cannot rebuild public affection simply by showing up at one event,” the source added.
Harry and Meghan stepped back from their roles as working royals in 2020. They later spoke publicly about their problems within the Royal Family, including concerns about race.
The couple have since made their home in California with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
