Duke of York’s dependence said to strain his daughters as Royal Lodge feud drags on.
The Duke of York’s ongoing struggles are reportedly taking a toll on his daughters, their daughters, as they grapple with his increasing need for emotional support.
Sources claim Andrew has leaned heavily on Sarah, Duchess of York, and his daughters amid a tense standoff with King Charles over his future at the Royal Lodge, a 30-room mansion from which the monarch has sought to evict him.
“Andrew is like a lost puppy these days,” a palace insider told InTouch Weekly. “He constantly reaches out to Sarah and their daughters, treating them as his lifeline, and it’s becoming overwhelming for them.”
Despite appeals from Beatrice and Eugenie for King Charles to mend relations with Andrew, it remains unclear whether their efforts have had any effect.
“They love their father, but his continuous reliance on them is exhausting,” the insider added. “They wish he would take greater responsibility for his problems and show more independence.”
While the sisters remain supportive, the strain of balancing their own challenges with their father’s persistent needs has left them reportedly feeling overwhelmed.
