Former President Reminisces About Meeting King Charles and Queen Elizabeth II During 2019 State Visit
In newly released campaign footage, Donald Trump expressed his admiration for Queen Camilla and King Charles, reflecting on his interactions with the Royal Family during a state visit to the UK in 2019.
The 78-year-old former president shared fond memories while flipping through a photo album aboard his private jet, describing Queen Camilla as “fantastic.” Trump also commented on King Charles’s health, acknowledging the monarch’s cancer diagnosis, saying, “Hopefully he's going to be well because he's a really good person.”
Recalling his meeting with King Charles, then the Prince of Wales, Trump remarked, “Here’s Charles, so beautiful,” as he reflected on their encounter.
Trump also reminisced about the grand banquet at Buckingham Palace, attended by his family—Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka, Jared Kushner, Eric, Lara, and Tiffany—alongside the Royal Family. Speaking warmly of Queen Elizabeth II, he noted, “She was always fantastic, by the way,” and added, “These images, I mean, who has images like this? These were genuine relationships.”
He concluded the segment with a personal reflection, saying, “This is your favourite president with the Queen… she was unbelievable, she was great, and we had a very good relationship.”
