This significant meeting came shortly after the King faced criticism during his October tour of Australia. Senator Lidia Thorpe protested against the monarchy, shouting, "Not my King" and "This is not your land."
Addressing such tensions during his Commonwealth Nations meeting speech in Samoa, Charles acknowledged the lingering impact of historical injustices. "The most painful aspects of our past continue to resonate," he said. "Understanding history is essential for making the right choices for the future."
