Queen Camilla shared a touching tribute after receiving the sad news of The Archers actress June Spencer's passing at the age of 105.
Camilla sent her condolences to the actress’s family, honouring Spencer’s remarkable 70-year contribution to the iconic British radio show.
“For over 70 years, June Spencer was a beloved part of many lives, embodying the roles of both comforting matriarch and ‘gangsta granny’ in Peggy Woolley,” Camilla wrote. “She will be greatly missed, and I send my heartfelt condolences to her family,” the message concluded, signed “Camilla R.”
This message came shortly after King Charles hosted a celebration at Buckingham Palace for the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic medallists, where he was joined by the Princess Royal and the Duchess of Gloucester. The King was seen in high spirits during the reception, which brought together athletes from Team GB, ParalympicsGB, and the Refugee Olympic Team.
