Prince William is allegedly refusing to join the Christmas celebrations at Sandringham Castle if King Charles invites Queen Camilla’s children, Tom Parker Bowles and Laura Lopes, along with their families.
The King, seeking to bring his family together after a challenging year marked by his cancer diagnosis, reportedly plans to include Camilla’s children in the festive gathering. However, this decision has not been well received by his son and heir, according to OK! Magazine.
Sources claim William remains uneasy about Camilla’s family, particularly Tom Parker Bowles, whose social lifestyle as a "Mayfair bon vivant" is said to make the Prince uncomfortable. An insider revealed, “It’s best to avoid mentioning Tom around William,” adding that the Prince of Wales “hates” his stepbrother despite maintaining outward diplomacy.
Royal aides are reportedly concerned that a blended family gathering could create tensions, making the event difficult to manage.
However, Tom Parker Bowles has downplayed his role within the royal family in past comments. In an interview with People Magazine, he said, “We are married in, we are not the royal family. I’ve never for one second said that.”
He also noted that his family has yet to attend Christmas at Sandringham, adding, “I have my own job, the children have school, and I haven’t been to Christmas yet for various reasons.”
As the holiday season approaches, the reported disagreement underscores the delicate balance of blending family relationships within the monarchy.
