The Prince of Wales shares heartfelt moments in Cape Town, expressing that his family "would love to be here" too.
During his solo tour of South Africa, Prince William offered a touching update, sharing that his wife, Catherine, wished she could join him. Speaking warmly of Cape Town, the Prince of Wales told the gathered crowd, “I've had an amazing week here, and I don’t want to leave,” adding that their children would also "love to be here."
William’s final day in Cape Town included a visit to the historic Kalk Bay Harbour, where he mingled with stars like Heidi Klum, Winnie Harlow, Billy Porter, and Tobe Nwigwe. The Prince participated in a traditional South African "braai" and received a heartfelt gift of sour fig jam from local fishermen, marking a memorable end to his tour.
Reflecting on the success of the Earthshot Awards held the previous night, William admitted he felt "emotional and excited" the following morning. His sentiments were met with appreciation, as Winnie Harlow remarked, "It was an honour."
Travelling by boat, William visited the community-supported fishing project Abalobi, a 2023 Earthshot Prize finalist. He was welcomed with cheers of "We love you, William," as he spoke with co-founder Serge Raemaekers and engaged with local supporters, expressing gratitude for their warm reception before heading back to reunite with Catherine and their children in the UK.
