For the 13th consecutive year, the Princess of Wales attended the annual event, standing on the balcony at the Cenotaph dressed in traditional black. Her ensemble featured a netted hat, a twisted chignon hairstyle, and a military-style coat with black epaulettes and a velvet bow at the neck. Her participation, only confirmed on Friday, suggests a last-minute decision, reflecting ongoing considerations about her health.
Kate was supported by Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh, as they observed King Charles and Prince William leading the ceremony. William laid a wreath bearing the Prince of Wales feathers, but fans noted a subtle change this year—the card was signed solely by William with the message, "In memory of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. We will remember them. William." In previous years, both William and Kate signed the tribute together, hinting that the late confirmation of Kate’s attendance may have prevented her signature.
