Princess Catherine Skips Tiara Moment as She Focuses on Christmas Preparations

Royal Fans Disappointed by Her Absence from Buckingham Palace State Banquet

Princess Catherine has chosen to skip the upcoming State Banquet at Buckingham Palace, prioritising her preparations for the annual Christmas carol service on December 6. The Princess of Wales, who has been gradually resuming royal duties, will not don a tiara at this week's glittering event, leaving fans disappointed.

Kensington Palace confirmed that Catherine is focusing on her carol service event, a cherished tradition she has spearheaded. Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles and Queen Camilla will host the Qatari royals, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani, at the banquet.

State Banquets, rare white-tie affairs, often provide a rare opportunity for royals to showcase their tiaras, making Catherine's absence particularly notable. Fans were eager to see the Princess in her regal finery, especially since this will be the final Buckingham Palace banquet for three years due to extensive refurbishment works at the royal residence.

Despite missing the banquet, Princess Catherine and Prince William will still join the ceremonial welcome for the Qatari Emir at Horse Guards Parade, a significant moment in the state visit. Future state banquets will be held at Windsor Castle until the £369 million refurbishment of Buckingham Palace is completed.

Catherine's decision underscores her focus on family and festive traditions, even as royal fans lament the missed tiara moment.
