Earl of Spencer delights fans with heartwarming update following royal legal victory
Charles Spencer, the younger brother of the late Princess Diana, has shared an exciting family update, revealing a new addition to his Althorp estate—a beloved furry companion.
The 60-year-old Earl took to Instagram to post a touching photo of his newest rescue dog, simply captioning it "New" alongside a dog emoji. This latest addition joins his growing pack, following his last adoption in April 2023.
A longtime advocate for animal rescue, Spencer has previously shared moments from shelters where he found his cherished pets. However, this joyful update comes after the bittersweet loss of his 12-year-old Labrador, Otis, who passed away last July.
His announcement follows his recent support for Prince Harry’s legal victory against News Group Newspapers, where the Duke of Sussex secured an apology over past media intrusions. Spencer praised his nephew’s determination, stating that Princess Diana would have been "immensely touched" and "rightly proud."
With his enduring bond with Prince Harry and his deep love for animals, Spencer continues to offer heartfelt glimpses into his life—both in royal affairs and at his treasured Althorp estate.
