Monarch praises her heartfelt message during World Autism Acceptance Month
King Charles has publicly acknowledged Duchess Sophie's continued dedication to autism awareness, responding warmly to her latest efforts during World Autism Acceptance Month.
The Duchess of Edinburgh recently featured in a video shared by the National Autistic Society, where she encouraged greater inclusion and understanding of autistic individuals. As patron of the charity, she spoke of the importance of building a society where autistic people feel supported and empowered.
“April is when we celebrate World Autism Acceptance Month,” she said. “This is an opportunity for everyone to come together, to raise awareness and increase acceptance of autism.”
The video was posted on the charity's official Instagram page—and notably received a 'like' from King Charles, in what many view as a quiet but meaningful gesture of royal recognition.
The monarch’s show of support comes amid growing calls for Sophie to take on more visible responsibilities, especially while the King undergoes cancer treatment. Often referred to as the royal family's "secret weapon," her consistent work and public engagement continue to earn admiration both inside and outside the palace.
