Duchess’s As Ever HQ draws attention for modest setting far from Montecito glamour
Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, may be built on the promise of everyday elegance, but its Los Angeles headquarters offer a stark contrast to that vision.
According to the Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex's new venture is reportedly operating out of an unremarkable grey building on Sunset Boulevard, situated next to a rundown motel and a nearby homeless encampment. The location stands in sharp contrast to the brand’s high-end image and its Montecito-inspired ethos of turning the ordinary into the exceptional.
The three-story structure, which appears linked to a Netflix studio lot, features as the business address on As Ever’s chic product packaging, including herbal teas and wildflower honey. However, its nondescript appearance has raised eyebrows among locals.
“It’s not at all what you would expect,” one passerby commented. “Her products seem so refined, but the building is incredibly basic.”
Another added, “You’d think a duchess would choose a more glamorous spot for her brand HQ. It looks really sad and shabby.”
Though located more than two hours from Meghan’s Montecito home, the building may simply serve as a mailing or operational base. The report notes that the door is usually locked, shelves appear empty, and even nearby Netflix staff were unclear about what the office is used for.
