Duke of Cambridge shares vision as Jason Knauf replaces outgoing CEO Hannah Jones
Prince William has welcomed a new era for The Earthshot Prize as the environmental charity prepares for a major leadership transition.
Hannah Jones, who has served as the inaugural CEO since the organization's launch in 2020, will step down this summer after four transformative years. Under her leadership, the Prize has become a globally recognized platform for environmental innovation. Though she’s leaving her executive role, Jones will continue advising Kensington Palace on sustainability and innovation.
Jason Knauf, a former senior royal aide, has been appointed as the incoming CEO. He is currently working closely with Jones to ensure a smooth transition.
Prince William, who founded the Earthshot Prize and remains its president, praised Jones’ contribution and expressed confidence in the road ahead:
“As the first CEO, Hannah has built the Prize into a world-class organization. As we look ahead to the future, I look forward to working with Jason to shape the next five years of the Earthshot Prize and beyond.”
With Knauf at the helm, the Earthshot Prize is set to advance its mission of inspiring urgent global action and delivering environmental solutions on a worldwide scale.
