Hollywood star calls the split a “legal formality” after years of media scrutiny
Brad Pitt has finally addressed his divorce from Angelina Jolie, speaking out for the first time since the high-profile legal battle ended in December 2024.
In a recent interview with GQ, the 61-year-old actor downplayed the long-awaited settlement, saying, “No, I don’t think it was that major of a thing. Just something coming to fruition. Legally.”
The Fight Club actor expressed frustration over constant public scrutiny of his personal life, remarking, “It’s been in the news for 30 years, bro… or some version of my personal life.”
When asked whether his upcoming film F1, set for release on June 27, offered him a retreat from the spotlight, Pitt responded, “I don’t see it that way… it’s been an annoyance I’ve had to always deal with… a nagging time suck or waste of time, if you let it be that.”
Despite the media attention, Pitt said he feels a sense of stability in his life now, noting, “It feels pretty warm and secure with my friends, with my loves, with my fam… it’s like this fly buzzing around a little bit.”
