King Charles’ Cancer Treatment Continues on Schedule Despite Canada Tour

Monarch to Make Historic Appearance at Canadian Parliament Amid Health Battle

Palace insiders have shared a significant update on King Charles’ ongoing cancer treatment as he embarks on his long-anticipated tour of Canada with Queen Camilla.

The monarch, who was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February 2024, will become the first reigning sovereign in nearly 70 years to attend the State Opening of the Parliament of Canada—a momentous event in royal history.

Despite his health challenges, sources confirmed that the King’s treatment remains on track. “It’s challenging, less than 36 hours door to door,” a royal aide told the Mail. “But although it feels very short and intense, that’s actually the best way to handle it.”

The King and Queen are expected to maintain a demanding itinerary while abroad, with plans carefully designed to accommodate his regular medical schedule. “They’ll hit the ground running, cram in as much as they possibly can, all without even noticing the time difference,” the insider added.

Buckingham Palace had announced King Charles’ cancer diagnosis early last year. Since then, he has been receiving consistent medical care as he continues to fulfil his royal duties.
