Duke of Sussex Accused of Blaming Others After Security Case Loss
Prince Harry is facing renewed criticism from royal commentators, with one expert claiming the Duke continues to shift blame rather than taking responsibility for his own actions.
Following his recent legal defeat in the UK over security arrangements, the Duke of Sussex sat down for a candid interview with BBC News. In the conversation, Harry expressed his frustration over the court’s decision and stated that if harm were to come to him or his family, the responsibility would lie with the Royal Family—commonly referred to as "the Firm."
Royal biographer and broadcaster Hugo Vickers, 72, weighed in on Harry’s remarks, telling The Sun, “He’s pointing the finger pretty much at all of us really. He wants to attribute blame to everybody else. He never seems to accept that he, himself, has done quite a few things which, on the whole, we do not really like.”
Harry’s comments come after a three-and-a-half-year legal battle, which concluded with the Court of Appeal rejecting his bid for publicly funded protection in the UK. Despite the ruling, he expressed disappointment and reiterated his concerns about the safety of returning to Britain with Meghan Markle and their two children.
