Royal expert claims Duchess is using controversy to promote upcoming brand launch
Meghan Markle is said to be unbothered by criticism from Britain over her latest viral dance video, which a royal expert suggests is a calculated move to boost her brand As Ever ahead of a new product launch.
The Duchess of Sussex shared a twerking clip on Instagram to mark her daughter Princess Lilibet’s fourth birthday, with Harry, the Duke of Sussex, making a brief appearance. The video has since attracted more than 42 million views and sparked global debate.
Despite backlash, Editor-at-Large Charlotte Griffiths claims the Sussex team views the attention as a “win.” Speaking to GB News, Griffiths said: “Meghan doesn’t really care that we don’t like her video. When it first came out, I was on this show going, I don’t know what she was thinking, why has she done this? I thought it couldn’t be more of an own goal, but I think it was actually tactical.”
She added: “What I’ve since discovered is that she’s about to reveal a rosé wine — the announcement is coming in the next day or two.”
Former Hollywood star Meghan’s latest move has further fuelled debate about her promotional strategies, with experts noting the timing of the video ahead of the new product launch.
