Duchess to attend star-studded LA event as Royal family marks Trooping the Colour
Meghan Markle is set to be honoured at a glittering Los Angeles gala on the same day as King Charles' official birthday celebration, Trooping the Colour, on 14 June.
The Duchess of Sussex will be recognised at the Night of Wonder Gala, hosted by the Natural History Museums of Los Angeles County, for her work in advancing community wellbeing and promoting equity.
"We are proud to honour Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a native Angeleno, whose work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity aligns with our equity-focused approach," said Lori Bettison-Varga, the organisation’s President and Director.
The black-tie event will feature several high-profile figures, including Meghan’s longtime friend and business associate Rick Genow and his wife, Mary Fulginiti-Genow, both listed as co-hosts. Genow, a film producer, has remained a key figure in Meghan’s inner circle since her move from royal life to the Hollywood scene.
Since relocating to California with Harry and their two children in 2020, the Duchess has gradually raised her public profile through a series of carefully chosen public appearances.
It remains unconfirmed whether Harry will join her for the star-studded evening.
