Couple said to differ in approach as tensions with Royal Family remain unresolved
Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly at odds over how to move forward in repairing their strained relationship with the Royal Family, according to a source close to the couple.
The rift between the Sussexes and senior royals began in 2020, when Harry and Meghan formally stepped back from royal duties. Since then, tensions have played out publicly through their Oprah Winfrey interview, Netflix docuseries, and Harry’s memoir Spare.
An insider claims that while the couple remain informed about developments in the UK, they are being increasingly excluded from private discussions. “They are aware of everything going on in England, but they are being left out of the details — there is clearly no trust,” the source said.
Though Harry and Meghan remain personally close, they are said to differ in their views on how to approach the fractured family ties. “Meghan is very business about it and focused on the future,” the source explained, while “Harry continues to have one foot in the past.”
Last month, Harry expressed a desire for reconciliation during an emotional interview following his legal defeat over UK security arrangements. The case, which spanned five years, was described by Harry as “the sticking point” — the final unresolved issue in his dispute with the Royal Family.
