Prince Harry has reportedly agreed to Meghan Markle’s approach regarding their children’s privacy, hoping it might help heal his strained relationship with King Charles.
Earlier this year, Meghan returned to Instagram, using the platform to launch her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, and promote her lifestyle brand. While she has occasionally shared glimpses of their children online, she’s always kept their full faces hidden from public view.
For nearly three years, Harry has been estranged from the royal family, with tensions rising after the Sussexes’ public revelations and Harry’s memoir, Spare. He has rarely travelled back to the UK since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, and Meghan has only returned once, for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. Their children have not visited Britain at all, with Harry citing safety concerns.
Since moving to the US, the couple has largely avoided sharing photos of their children, except for a single image of Lilibet on her first birthday in 2021. This strict privacy is believed to be a protective measure for the young children.
Now, according to sources cited by The Daily Mail, Harry is considering a change in hopes of reconnecting with his father, who is currently battling cancer. Despite his ongoing fears for the safety of his family, Harry appears willing to relax his stance as a “last resort.”
One insider shared, “Harry is completely heartbroken. His dad refuses to see him or the kids—not even on Zoom. It’s a last resort.” The source added that Harry is “desperately hoping the King might see a picture of Archie or Lilibet and realise what he's missing.”
Despite years of reaching out through calls and letters, Harry’s efforts have reportedly been met with silence. Sharing a photo, insiders say, is his way of sending a heartfelt message: “Look at what you’re missing.”
The update comes amid ongoing debate within the Sussex household about their children’s privacy. While Harry reportedly favours keeping their faces hidden, Meghan is said to prefer sharing more openly on social media. For now, Harry appears ready to try Meghan’s way, if it might help reunite his fractured family.
