Aston Villa and loved ones join in to honour the future King
Prince William received a delightful surprise on his 43rd birthday as his beloved football club, Aston Villa, publicly marked the occasion with a personal tribute.
On Saturday, June 21, the Premier League team posted a cheerful message on X: “Happy Birthday to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales,” accompanied by a purple heart emoji in a nod to the team’s colours.

The Prince, known for his enduring support of Aston Villa, was also celebrated by former footballer David Beckham, King Charles, and the wider Royal Family.
Catherine and their children were among the first to send birthday wishes. A touching photograph, taken by the Princess of Wales earlier this month, captured William seated outdoors in Windsor with the family dog, Orla, and three of her four puppies. The image was shared on the couple’s social media account, signed “with love” from Catherine and the children.
William’s passion for Aston Villa is well documented. He’s a paid subscriber to the club’s digital service, Villa TV, and is said to have posted anonymously on fan forums. He was also spotted attending several Champions League matches during the last season.
Even his eldest child has followed suit, with George appearing at games in a Villa jersey. Yet William has noted that his children are free to support any club they choose.
