Wales family prepares for a season of rest, reflection, and countryside adventure
Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are officially on summer holiday as Lambrook School concludes its term on Saturday, July 5. With their books packed away, the young royals now look forward to a well-deserved break filled with family time, fresh air, and plenty of countryside fun.
The children have attended the prestigious Berkshire prep school since 2022, following their family’s relocation to Windsor. With the academic year behind them, they are expected to enjoy the coming weeks at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor and Anmer Hall on the Sandringham Estate—two private and peaceful homes beloved by the Wales family.
For the Prince and Princess of Wales, this summer marks a chance to unwind and spend meaningful time with their children away from royal duties. It’s a brief but treasured window of calm before the back-to-school rush in the autumn.
As the school year ends, Prince George is preparing for a significant step forward. The 11-year-old is set to begin Year 8 in September, his final year at Lambrook School, which typically educates pupils until age 13.
Although no official announcement has been made, royal watchers widely believe George’s next chapter will lead him to Eton College—the prestigious boarding school attended by both Prince William and Prince Harry. Its proximity to Windsor and long-standing royal ties make it a natural next step for the future king.
