In a newly released trailer, cast member Panthea Parker takes a cheeky swipe at the royal drama as she prepares to attend what appears to be a Buckingham Palace garden party. Sitting beside her husband, British lawyer Ed Parker, she boldly declares, "I'm going to go, 'How do you feel about Harry and what he did?'"
Her husband quickly shuts the idea down, reading aloud from an etiquette booklet: "It says, specifically, 'Do not ask the monarch about Harry and Meghan'." The lighthearted exchange humorously underscores just how delicate the topic remains within royal circles.
The TV moment arrives amid genuine efforts behind the scenes to repair the fractured relationship between Prince Harry and King Charles. On July 9, senior aides from both camps met in London at the Royal Over-Seas League in what has been described as the “first step” toward reconciliation. The Duke of Sussex's chief of staff Meredith Maines and UK spokesperson Liam Maguire sat down with the King's communications secretary Tobyn Andreae.
In a candid BBC interview earlier this year, Harry expressed his willingness to mend fences, stating, "I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point in continuing to fight anymore."
However, noticeable absences at the meeting have raised eyebrows. Neither Prince William nor Princess Catherine had a representative present, and insiders suggest that may not change anytime soon. “It's no coincidence that William and Catherine did not have a representative at the Royal Over-Seas League,” a friend of the couple shared. “They were not asked to send anyone and will be treating the talks with extreme caution.”
