Meghan Markle's Apricot Spread Sells Out — But Glitch Leaves Customers Frustrated

Meghan Markle's Apricot Spread Sells Out — But Glitch Leaves Customers Frustrated

As Ever brand issues refunds and promises free jars after overselling popular product

Meghan Markle’s lifestyle brand, As Ever, has hit a snag after overwhelming demand for its apricot spread left some customers without their purchases — despite receiving confirmation at checkout.

The fruity favourite sold out within an hour of its launch last month, but a technical glitch in the ordering system led to the brand overselling stock. Customers who successfully placed orders were later notified by email that their apricot spread could not be delivered.

“Due to high demand, we are unable to fulfil your order of the apricot spread at this time,” the brand’s message read. “We are refunding the purchase of this item by the end of this week.” The company also reassured buyers they would be first in line to receive a replacement jar — free of charge — once the product is restocked.

The unexpected hiccup drew a wave of mixed reactions. While some buyers voiced frustration over the delay, others responded with humour or unwavering support for the Duchess of Sussex.

“I only have half a jar of raspberry spread left. It’s war tomorrow!!!” one customer joked on social media.

Another added: “At the minimum, comms should be out the same day. Don’t let us wait and be disappointed.”

Yet not all customers were upset. A fan replied to the news saying, “I don’t even want my refund — I just genuinely want Meghan to know she is so loved!”

The apricot spread, known for its high fruit content, isn’t technically classified as a jam, but its popularity proved undeniable during the brand’s latest product drop.

Despite the stumble, As Ever is moving full steam ahead. Meghan recently introduced a new Napa Valley rosé wine, developed in partnership with Fairwinds Estate, with more varietals and lifestyle offerings expected in the near future.
