Buckingham Palace celebrates Princess Royal’s latest honour and standout appearance
The Royal Family is proudly celebrating Princess Anne after a week of recognition, regal elegance, and royal duty that left fans affectionately referring to her as “The Queen.”
On July 16, the 74-year-old Princess Royal stepped out in a striking cobalt blue wrap dress to attend the Military Musical Spectacular: Heroes at Horse Guards Parade in London. Her poised appearance, shared in official photos by Buckingham Palace, quickly drew admiration online—especially from fans who saw in her the spirit and dignity of her late mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

The grand event brought together over 250 performers, including the Massed Bands of the Guards Division, the Duchess of Edinburgh’s String Orchestra, the Massed Pipes and Drums, the Army Cadet Force, and the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery. It also marked 200 years of the Royal Mews, who showcased their historic horse-drawn coaches and royal vehicles in a special display.
Hours earlier, Anne had been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from a university in West Yorkshire, further cementing her position as one of the most hardworking members of the Royal Family.
