Royal couple’s children receive uplifting news as family prepares for quiet break after key engagement
Prince William and Catherine are planning to enjoy private time with their children following an upcoming royal duty involving President Emmanuel Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will accompany the French leaders from RAF Northolt to Windsor, where they will be received by King Charles and Queen Camilla.
Once their diplomatic responsibilities conclude, the royal couple intends to focus on family time with their children, who are currently on summer holiday from Lambrook School. Their new school term begins in September.
Royal commentator Jennie Bond explained that school breaks are considered strictly personal time for the family. “Their plans remain confidential, and they are pretty much left alone,” she told The Mirror.
Bond noted how the children’s holidays differ from those of William and Harry, who were once constantly followed by the press. “Thankfully, things changed after the death of the Princess, and that must be a huge relief to the Waleses.”
It is expected the family will spend much of the summer at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, where they can enjoy the open countryside and beaches on the Sandringham estate.
