Buckingham Palace Stays Quiet as Prince Harry Returns to the UK

Uncertainty surrounds possible reunion between the King and his son

Prince Harry has arrived in the UK for a four-day visit that will see him attend the annual WellChild Awards and reconnect with several of his patronages.

The trip comes during a significant week, marking the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth’s death. Last year, the Duke of Sussex made a quiet visit to her resting place, though it is not yet known whether he will join his family in remembrance this time.

Speculation has been growing about a potential meeting between Harry and King Charles. Hopes for reconciliation increased after reports of a peace summit between the King’s communication secretary and senior Sussex aides. Still, Buckingham Palace has remained silent on whether such a meeting will happen, royal editor Rebecca English noted.

On Tuesday, Harry is scheduled to travel to Nottingham to tour the Community Recording Studio, where he is expected to make a significant donation. Later in the week, he will focus on engagements with the Invictus Games and the Diana Award, alongside the WellChild Awards ceremony.

“His visit is four days long and focusing purely on the patronages,” one insider said. “[He is] keeping it positive, no courtrooms, just doing the stuff he loved to do and, hopefully, helping some of those causes closest to his heart.”
