Diana’s brother posts serene images of her ancestral home amid reports Harry stayed there during his visit
Earl Charles Spencer has shared striking new photos of Althorp House, the historic family estate of Princess Diana, just after Prince Harry reportedly wrapped up his four-day trip to Britain.
Posting to Instagram on Friday, Diana’s brother offered a glimpse of the quiet September morning at the 13,000-acre estate in West Northamptonshire. “The shadows of a perfect September day, first thing this morning at @althorphouse,” he captioned the series of images, which delighted royal watchers online.
Reports suggest the Duke may have stayed at Althorp during his time in the UK, though Spencer has not confirmed or denied it. The property, Diana’s childhood home and final resting place, has long held deep personal meaning for Harry.
The Duke has visited Britain several times since stepping back from royal duties, often seeking privacy away from the palaces. After returning the keys to Frogmore Cottage, he is said to favour Althorp as his base during trips home.
Spencer still lives at the estate and is believed to have a warm relationship with his nephew. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams noted that it would be unsurprising if Harry spent time there, saying, “He has remained close to his uncle.”
