Father and son reunite at Clarence House before Duke departs for California
After nearly two years apart, King Charles III and his youngest son, the Duke of Sussex, have reunited in London. Their meeting took place on Wednesday evening, September 10, at the King’s London residence, Clarence House. According to People, Harry arrived around 5:20 p.m. local time, marking their first face-to-face encounter since February 2024, shortly after the King revealed his cancer diagnosis.
Harry has been in the UK for several days, attending events in London, Nottingham, and other locations. Earlier in the day, he visited the Royal British Legion Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London, which he helped establish in 2013. As he left, he mentioned he was running “so late,” which now appears to have been because he was heading to meet his father.
The King returned from Scotland to London earlier that afternoon and was later seen arriving at his country home around 4 p.m., escorted by police from his private airbase.
Harry is expected to attend another engagement later tonight and is not expected to stay at Clarence House. He will return to California tomorrow to reunite with Meghan Markle and their children.
