Duchess Offered Chance to Host Radio Show After Admitting She Misses “Magic FM”
Meghan Markle has been handed a new opportunity from Britain just weeks after Harry’s private reunion with King Charles III at Clarence House.
The Duchess of Sussex, who left the UK in 2020 to build a new life in California with Harry, has reportedly been invited to host a radio programme in the UK. The offer came from Magic FM after Meghan spoke warmly about the station during the second series of her Netflix show With Love, Meghan.
Paul Sylvester, Magic’s Content Director, confirmed: “The offer is on the table: if the Duchess wants to host a show, she’s very welcome.”
Despite the invitation, Meghan is unlikely to accept, as she has not returned to the UK since Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in September 2022.
The news arrives alongside reports that Harry held peace talks with his father during his London visit earlier this month, which also included a stop at Kensington Palace.
In her Netflix appearance, Meghan told Queer Eye star Tan France that one of the things she missed most about Britain was listening to Magic FM. France teased her for her choice, joking: “Magic FM?! Sorry to say this publicly, but that’s such a grandma station.”
Meanwhile, Meghan has also received high-profile support from Netflix’s co-chief executive Ted Sarandos, who described her as having “remarkable influence.”
