Duke of Sussex Visits Ukraine After Winning Praise in the United Kingdom
Prince Harry has been recognised for his dedication to helping wounded war heroes, earning praise from a senior political figure during a surprise visit to Kyiv.
After wrapping up a successful tour in the United Kingdom, the Duke of Sussex travelled to Ukraine with his Invictus Games Foundation team. Yulia Svyrydenko, the country’s Prime Minister, honoured him for his ongoing “work on the rehabilitation and recovery of veterans.”
On Telegram, Svyrydenko shared that she met with Harry during his visit. “We talked about the work on the rehabilitation and recovery of veterans,” she wrote. “I thanked the Prince for his support for our Ukrainian military personnel after service at various venues, including at the Invictus Games.”
Harry revealed to The Guardian that he had sought approval from both his wife Meghan Markle and the UK government before accepting the invitation to visit Ukraine due to ongoing security concerns.
His trip followed a series of meaningful engagements in the UK, where he made a generous donation and earned public admiration, further strengthening his bond with the British public.
