Duke of Sussex begins visit by honouring Queen Elizabeth II at Windsor
Harry has begun his four-day trip to the United Kingdom by paying his respects to the late Queen Elizabeth II on the third anniversary of her death.
According to the Daily Mail, the Duke of Sussex travelled straight to St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle after landing at Heathrow this morning. There, he visited his grandmother’s grave in a quiet and personal tribute. This marks his first trip back to Britain in five months.
The visit sets the tone for a schedule of public engagements, including the WellChild Awards and an appearance in Nottingham. Speculation is also growing about the possibility of a private meeting with his father, King Charles, who is undergoing cancer treatment.
Meanwhile, King Charles, the Prince of Wales, and Catherine marked the anniversary in their own way. A few hours earlier, they shared a public tribute to the late Queen on their official social media accounts. The Prince and Princess of Wales also visited the Women’s Institute branch in Sunningdale, not far from Windsor Castle. The Queen had been a member of the WI for 80 years, and the engagement was held in her honour.
