Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales Keep Their Distance from Prince Harry During UK Visit

Ongoing rift keeps brothers apart despite close proximity

The tension between William and Harry shows no signs of easing, with both appearing unwilling to take steps toward reconciliation. While many had hoped Harry’s latest visit to the UK might offer a chance to rebuild bridges, the two brothers stayed firmly apart.

Harry has been in London for several days, focusing on charitable causes close to his heart. On Wednesday, he visited the Centre for Blast Injury Studies at Imperial College London, arriving in a navy blazer, light blue shirt, and navy suede loafers. That same day, William and Catherine travelled to Wales to mark Suicide Prevention Day, stopping at a mental health hub in Cardiff—a move seen as deliberately keeping their distance from Harry, who was nearby in London.

Earlier in the week, the brothers were just eight miles apart. Harry visited Windsor Castle to pay respects at the burial site of their late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, while William and Catherine were in Sunningdale, Berkshire, attending an event at the Women’s Institute to mark the anniversary of her death.

Although there has been no sign of a reunion between the brothers, Harry could still see his father, King Charles III. The King returned to London from Balmoral last night, raising hopes that father and son might find time to meet while they are both in the capital.
