Duchess of Sussex focuses on her achievements as Prince Andrew gives up royal titles
Meghan Markle had reason to celebrate just hours after Buckingham Palace confirmed that Prince Andrew would no longer use his royal titles and honours. While the Royal Family dealt with the fallout from Andrew’s statement, the Duchess of Sussex took to social media to share her own good news.
“Oh friends… big news!” Meghan wrote on her Instagram Story, reposting an update from Lemonada Media. The company announced that Confessions of a Female Founder with @Meghan had won Gold in the “Business People & Entrepreneurs Shaping Culture” category at the national Signal Awards. The podcast also received the Listener’s Choice award.
The post expressed gratitude to listeners, saying, “We’re so grateful for all the love, listens, and shares. Thank you for being part of our little podcast family.”
Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace revealed that Andrew’s decision to relinquish his titles came after “a discussion” with King Charles and his immediate family, which reportedly included Prince William. The former Duke of York said he wanted to step back because the accusations against him had continued to “distract from the work” of the King and the royal family.
Although debates have resurfaced about removing Harry and Meghan’s titles, the controversies surrounding Andrew and his past connections to Jeffrey Epstein have drawn far more scrutiny.
For now, Meghan seems content to stay focused on her family and professional milestones, choosing to celebrate her success rather than engage in royal drama.
