Kelly McKee Zajfen praises Meghan after Stassi Schroeder’s criticism
Meghan Markle has found support from a longtime friend after doubts were cast on her loyalty.
The Duchess of Sussex, who has recently faced backlash following comments from Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder, received a public show of support from her close pal Kelly McKee Zajfen. The philanthropist and co-founder of Alliance of Moms took to Instagram to answer questions about her bond with Meghan, revealing that their friendship spans nearly two decades.
“I’ve actually known her for almost 20 years,” Kelly shared. “She even came to my wedding 15 years ago, and she’s been the most amazing, nurturing, fun, loving human. She’s been by my side, especially since Georgie died, and I cherish our friendship very much.”
Kelly has often celebrated her bond with Meghan. On the Duchess’s 44th birthday, she posted a heartfelt tribute, writing: “Happy Birthday to you, sweet M!! You’re pure magic!! A force of fun, light, and so much love. Thank you for being the kind of friend who makes everything better (and way more fun).”
Her warm words come shortly after Schroeder unfollowed Meghan on Instagram and claimed she had been excluded from the PR list for the Duchess’s lifestyle brand As Ever. Schroeder expressed her frustration, saying: “I have literally defended her when no one else did. I’ve filmed videos about it, I’ve commented on all the things, I literally had my f–king PR reach out.”
Kelly’s comments stood out as a reminder of Meghan’s enduring friendships, even as the Duchess faces renewed public scrutiny.
