Prince William and Catherine Revise Family Plans After Security Boost

The Wales family fast-tracks their move to Forest Lodge following new safety measures

Prince William and Catherine have made a major change to their moving plans after enhanced security measures were approved for their new home, Forest Lodge.

Originally, the couple had planned to leave Adelaide Cottage around Christmas, but their move has now been brought forward. Following the Home Office’s approval of a new security cordon around the 150-acre estate, the family is preparing to relocate as early as November 5.

According to The Daily Mail’s Rebecca English, builders have been working tirelessly to meet the new deadline, and the family’s move is now “imminent.” Workers have begun transferring belongings into the eight-bedroom mansion. “It is hoped they will be in by Bonfire Night,” a source told the outlet. “That will make a fun start for the children.”

The Waleses previously lived at Kensington Palace before moving to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor. They are now looking forward to making Forest Lodge their long-term home, even as William prepares for his future role as King.

The decision to move sooner reportedly stems from a desire to leave behind difficult memories tied to Catherine’s recent cancer diagnosis. The couple wants a fresh beginning for their family—especially for their eldest, George, who is approaching the age when his formal royal training begins.
