Eugenie and Beatrice attend Simon Cowell’s charity event amid controversy surrounding their parents
Princess Eugenie opened up about motherhood in a rare emotional moment during her latest public appearance, as the York family continues to navigate difficult times.
Eugenie and her sister, Princess Beatrice, made a quiet appearance at Simon Cowell’s fundraising event for the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH) in the Cotswolds. The evening raised an impressive £1.1 million to help children receiving treatment at the London hospital.
Speaking to Hello! Magazine, Eugenie reflected on how becoming a mother has deepened her sense of compassion and purpose. “It was very important for me to support Simon, Lauren [Silverman] and Saskia [Johnston] today,” she said. “What GOSH is doing for children is fantastic. Having two children of my own, you realise how much being a mum changes you. It means even more to me now to help families with unwell children. I’m so honoured to be here.”
Beatrice also praised GOSH for its dedication to providing vital healthcare to children from all backgrounds. “No matter what you are doing, taking time to focus on children’s health is the most important thing,” she said.
The sisters’ warm remarks came as their parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, faced renewed public backlash following leaked emails linked to Jeffrey Epstein, prompting fresh calls for the pair to be permanently removed from royal duties.
